ABOUT COLLEEN

Colleen Simonds Design is a full-service residential interior design firm based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Colleen’s work has been featured in the New York Times, LUXE, Elle Decor, Martha Stewart Living, and many digital and local publications.  

Colleen creates one of a kind homes for the aesthetically adventurous. She transforms everyday spaces into the favorite places you never want to leave, combining tradition with the unpredictable, exuberance with restraint, and always delivering function and finesse. Committed to color and to rooms with style and personality, Colleen leaves no stone unturned when it comes to sourcing - she is always on the hunt for the newest and the best. Working in fashion for over a decade with some of the industry’s top talents nurtured and developed her editor’s eye, and fostered her love of creativity and beautiful things. She believes that your environment matters, and that color and pattern have the ability to set a mood and tone like nothing else can.  

Colleen is a graduate of Duke University and Parsons School of Design.  She lives in Pittsburgh with her husband, Henry, and two sons, John & George.
